Remarkable Communications is excited to share our collaboration with the South Island Indigenous Authority (SIIA) to produce a custom animated explainer video that helps communities understand SIIA’s Child Plan initiative.
SIIA is a planning organization supporting Southern Vancouver Island Nations in reclaiming jurisdiction over child and family services — working toward systems grounded in Indigenous values, cultures, and traditions rather than reactive colonial models. Central to this work is the concept of a Child Plan, a community-driven, strength-based approach that empowers families to identify the kinship networks — like family heads and receivers — who will support children now and into the future.
The animated video we helped create was designed entirely by Indigenous artists and storytellers to reflect community knowledge and cultural integrity. It brings clarity and heart to the Child Plan concept in an accessible way.
