Recently, Remarkable Communications revamped Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society’s (SCFSS) website. After a year and a half of trying to launch a website that accurately reflects Scw’exmx’s mission, values, and vision, our Remarkable team was brought in to breathe new life into this website.
The old website
The old website had untapped potential to better represent Scw’exmx as a whole. While it provided some context about Scw’exmx, community services, and cultural resources, it did not provide valuable information that reflects what this team does. It was also not optimized for accessibility and user experience.

How we helped
Our team completely overhauled the website. With guidance from the team over at SCFSS, we streamlined the content that already existed and optimized the site’s accessibility and ease of use.
Here are a few significant changes we made:
- The “Who We Are” section has replaced the “About Us” section. There are now three subcategories within this section: Teams, Our Communities, and Strategic Directions. This revamp shows the true heart of the community and allows visitors to easily learn about SCFSS’s diligent efforts to serve children, youth and families.
- A “How We Help” section has been added. There are various subcategories providing family-friendly resources for families and youth, including resources on topics such as mental health and family care.
- There is now an “Events & Programs” section, which provides up-to-date information about important events happening in all 5 of the communities Scw’exmx serves.
- The “Resources” section has been expanded and elaborated on to better align with Scw’exmx’s prevention over protection methodology. The cultural resources library is full of useful videos, and there are plans to expand this section in the future.

Conclusion
Our work made Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society’s website engaging, easy to navigate, and full of helpful resources and current events for community members. This website has a clean, professional, and visually appealing look, representing a new chapter for the organization after a year and a half of searching for the right people to bring their vision to reality. We are so proud to be a part of Scw’exmx’s ongoing communications support and look forward to continuing our work together in the future.
