Laurel Anne Stark

CEO and Founder

Laurel is our remarkable Founder and CEO, and it is her passion for making the world a better place—in tandem with her dedication to leadership—that allows her visions to become tangible realities that positively impact her clients and team members every day. One of her favourite parts of her work is the creative problem-solving element. Originally from Treaty 13 (Toronto), she currently lives in Gordon Head – lək̓ʷəŋən speaking territory.

Eli

Project Manager

Meet Eli—our go-to guy for all things client-related. He’s not just good at what he does; he’s great with people, too. Eli’s kind heart and brilliant ideas make him a natural leader. He loves his job because he gets to work with an awesome team and cool clients. Eli lives in Gordon Head/Saanich and is all about making games that everyone loves. He’s the glue that keeps our projects and people together.

Nadine

Project Manager

With her playful attitude, observant nature, and general radiance, Nadine is the heart of our team. The people—our teammates, clients, and the vibrant community—genuinely inspire her. Every project under Nadine’s guidance is a testament to her passion for bringing people together and creating an environment as lively and welcoming as Nadine’s. She doesn’t just manage projects; she crafts experiences that resonate on a personal note. You can find Nadine making the world more beautiful when not at work through her passion for photography and music.

Amy

Project Manager

Amy is our multifaceted Project and Operations Manager. She is passionate about creating functional systems and strategies. Amy has a background in all things marketing and founded her own company, Namataste Nutrition, where she gets to teach her favourite topic: plant-based nutrition. What she loves about Remarkable is knowing that our work has meaning and makes a tangible impact. For fun, Amy snowboards, roller skates to disco music and builds functional art.

Jessi

Office Manager

Jessi is the definition of “on the ball”—dedicated, fun, and always one step ahead. She’s the mastermind behind our production line, and her love of building productive systems helps our busy CEO stay on top of her game. When she’s not streamlining our workflows, she loves spending quality time with her pets or being immersed in local community events. With Jessi on our team, efficiency and smiles are always on the agenda.

Rochelle

Senior Graphic Designer

Rochelle is our Senior graphic designer. She uses her sharp wit and artistic talents to provide the team with meaningful, top-quality Graphic Design and Marketing content. She particularly loves collaborating with our amazing team, and it shows through the fantastic work she produces. Based in Calgary, Rochelle hones her creative precision by spending time enjoying hand embroidery.

Moriah

Senior Writer

Our Senior Writer, Moriah, is a bubbly, innovative, and forward-thinking Denver-based artist, writer, and marketer who uses her talents to craft relevant, compelling content for clients whose active mission is to make the world a better place. She is a dedicated social justice advocate and founded Towards a Better World L.L.C. and Changemaker Socials

Emma

Project Coordinator

Emma puts her expansive mind to fantastic use on our team. She enjoys working at Remarkable Communications because her values and ours sync up perfectly. From our work with Indigenous issues to equality in the workplace to the emphasis on mental health, Emma particularly loves the diversity of topics she can help platform and the flexibility with which she can do so.

Adje

Project Coordinator

Adje is our sharp-as-a-tack, smart-as-a-whip Project Coordinator, who especially loves how everyone on the team looks out for one another by committing to fostering empathy and understanding to maintain a healthy work environment. Adje’s astuteness and curiosity are at the heart of the dynamism they bring to the team, and this carries over outside of the workplace, as they love to unwind by watching and reviewing classic films online.

Jeannie

Visual Artist

Jeannie is the team’s creative and imaginative Visual Artist. She is originally from Scia’new First Nation and has lived in the community all her life. She has created art for longer than she can remember, and her passionate artwork really shines here at Remarkable Communications. In her downtime, you can find her watching movies and indulging in her love of baking.

Anri

Content Creator

Anri is our invaluable video editing wiz and content creator extraordinaire! A committed nature enthusiast who enjoys spending meaningful time outdoors, Anri loves going for peaceful, grounding walks that allow her to take in the sensations of fresh air and tall trees. Her desire to produce meaningful content through marketing dovetails seamlessly with Remarkable’s focus on creating a wholesome work atmosphere, reinforcing Anri’s enthusiasm for being a part of our team.

Rebecca

Web Design & Content

Rebecca (She/They) is our remarkable content creator and web design wizard. Their background in arts and culture lends her a unique perspective on all things visual culture. With a decade of experience supporting Inuit and Indigenous artists, makers and curators, she is passionate about decolonization and environmental advocacy. When not working, they can be found bird watching or watercolour painting. 🎨🦆

Gabe

Event Support

Gabe’s (They/Them) traditional name is K̓asolas. They were raised on the Tsartlip (W̱JOȽEȽP) reserve, where their father is from. Their mother has Kwakwaka’wakw heritage, with ties to Village Island and Campbell River. Gabe is passionate about the Arts, Culture, and Language and has been singing, playing instruments, and acting since childhood. Gabe really shines at Remarkable on-site with the communities we serve. They love making connections with our clients and witnessing the events we support.
