Remarkable Communications worked with NIȽ TU,O to create two incredible calendars for 2024 and 2025. Featuring a wealth of information such as holidays, community events, and delightful drawings created by children from the communities NIȽ TU,O serves – These calendars are not just tools for tracking dates; they are vibrant celebrations of community, culture, and creativity!
Weaving Together Culture and Organization
NIȽ TU,O Child and Family Services Society is a Coast Salish organization committed to strengthening the children & families of the seven communities NIȽ TU,O serves. NIȽ TU,O programs and services are created from the perspective of NUTSUMAT SHQWALUWUN (working together with one mind). This principle is woven into the fabric of these calendars. Our aim was to provide community members with essential information about culturally significant events while fostering connections among individuals and families in the community.
The 2024 Calendar
In 2024, we exceeded our expectations! Each month in the calendar was adorned with more than just dates. Most have culturally significant plant facts or reminders about important community events, such as NIȽ TU,O’s Spring break culture camps.

We also included artwork created by children from the communities that NIȽ TU,O serves. This was important as NIȽ TU,O’s services are based on the idea of NUTSUMAT SHQWALUWUN (working together with one mind). By giving the children a place in the calendar, they are given a role in the community-building the calendars promote.
The 2025 Calendar
With the outstanding success of the 2024 calendar guiding us, our Remarkable team was asked to create another calendar for 2025. We took the foundational ideas from the previous year and infused them with even more creativity and depth. The 2025 calendar continues to display artwork from children in NIȽ TU,O’s care while introducing new cultural elements designed to engage and educate the community. This year’s art contest had over 30 submissions from children in NIȽ TU,O communities!

Looking through the 2025 NIȽ TU,O calendar, you’ll find significant dates, traditions, NIȽ TU,O history, and the rich cultural tapestry that characterizes the communities NIȽ TU,O serves. This year’s calendar is not merely an extension; it’s an evolution–a tribute to NIȽ TU,O’s past, present, and future. It stands as a reminder of the importance of togetherness, celebrating the communities’ collective journeys and nurturing relationships.
Fostering Community Engagement Throughout the Year
We are excited about the potential of the 2025 calendar to foster community engagement throughout the year. This calendar is a vital tool to help Coast Salish children – especially those in care – stay connected to their culture, language and the lands and waters their communities have stewarded since time immemorial. We are immensely grateful for our ongoing collaboration with NIȽ TU,O.
