Starting Rate: Between $25-30/hr depending on experience

Hours: 10hrs/week with the option to increase to 35hrs/week

Availability: Hybrid Onsite/ Local / Remote

Our team of 13+ staff provides a complete range of on-site, online, and studio-based multimedia services to support Indigenous leaders, community members, and organizations in meeting their objectives. The Opportunity

Working with a vibrant, agile team, the successful candidate will support our project managers and founder to deliver remarkable results for our clients.

Candidates must be self-motivated, great at problem-solving, and experienced in supporting creative teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of camera operation, composition, lighting, and sound recording techniques and experience filming, capturing and editing content according to client briefs. They also have excellent communication skills, a strong appreciation for Indigenous issues, and a desire to learn and help others. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a passion for positively impacting the world.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside the Remarkable team and our clients to plan and perform video shoots (advertisements, interviews, narration, podcasts, etc).
  • Capture high-quality photographs (portrait, group shots, B-roll of the event and participants, etc)
  • Capture high-quality video footage using professional-grade cameras and equipment.
  • Handle a variety of project types based on clients needs, including filming on set and on location, and managing various post-production tasks.
  • As needed, you will be responsible for setting up and taking down equipment such as cameras, microphones, lighting, and props.
  • Manage and organize video files and assets, ensuring easy retrieval for non-technical users.
  • Create and edit long and short-form video content using modern software (Filmora, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Understand client briefs and develop strategies to produce and publish the desired products/content.
  • Ensure the appropriate equipment is present and functional for shoots – and troubleshooting when necessary.

  • Ability to work quickly and independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make efficient decisions.
  • A willingness to work onsite as needed in order to assist Project Managers and Content Creators, as well as providing technical support for in-house multimedia projects.
  • An expert at video editing, especially for social media, using software like Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods of time.
  • Fluency in digital platforms like Google Workspace, Slack and Trello.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a proven background in technical know-how, problem-solving, and excellent written communication.
